"Melissa was a wonderful doula and companion for my husband and I before, during, and after my labor with our first child. She took the time to really get to know us and to learn about my birth plan and she even did research on her own time to help better educate us to the point where we really felt prepared for labor. Her enthusiasm and excitement were contagious; before I knew it, I was actually looking forward to giving birth despite how nervous I was originally. My labor was a lengthy one- lasting over a day- and Melissa was there by my side the entire time. I felt calm and collected the entire time, and I attribute much of this to her presence and guidance."

"My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Melissa for our first born. As a first time mommy I needed a little support not only from a doula but from a mom as well. I wasn't too sure of what to expect because I am the type of person to just wing it as it comes but I wanted this experience to be as close to perfect as possible. Melissa was very informative and has helped me with any questions I had and also insisted me on her experiences as a mom.
She helped ease my anxiety about everything by making sure I got organized with my birth plan and making sure I had everything I needed as well as everything I wanted before and during labor. She has even gone as far as doing research for me if she didn't know the answer to something.
It was a great experience as a first time mommy.

"Melissa joining our team was the best decision we made for our birth. I decided (very last minute, 2 weeks before going into labor) that I needed a doula to help me have the best chance at a successful unmedicated birth. From the second we hired Melissa, she listened to my wants and hopes and sent me resources for every little thing I mentioned. If she didn’t have a resource ready, she was researching and finding information to help me. Melissa not only helped me but she also helped my partner with understanding how he can be a support person during labor and after giving birth. My partner and I both felt better prepared after meeting with Melissa.
Once it was labor time, Melissa was by our sides helping us through it, helping me feel better during contractions, and helping me advocate for what I wanted.
After our baby was here, I thought that our journey together would end but Melissa has kept in touch and continues to help me! She helped me find a lactation consultant, helped my husband and I come up with a better plan for our night time routine, sent resources on different things we were having trouble with, and even gave us a delicious smoothie recipe! :)
